How To Make Vinyl Stickers – The Cricut Joy is an entry-level design machine, but not entry-level in terms of features, quite the opposite. Today I am sharing how to make Cricut Joy Stickers with Vinyl and PNG SVG Summer Cricut Joy Sticker Template Free Download. It’s a very simple little project and that’s why I love Joy. Not only for the difficult, but also for the easy. Small projects that you can do in minutes, on your own or with the kids.
One of my favorite things to do in Cricut Maker is making stickers and decals, labels and gift tags (click the link to see the designs). I have to say, once I received the Joy, my heart sank a bit when I realized it was the wrong size and print. However, it only adds to that with this amazing sticker.
How To Make Vinyl Stickers
Yes, it’s very simple. Cricut Smart Vinyl comes in a variety of sizes so you can make stickers in any length or length. This is a great activity for kids. Also a great way to take notes. Or for older kids to make stickers for schoolwork, or just because they want to.
How To Apply Vinyl Stickers: 8 Steps (with Pictures)
What a great way to learn art or just enjoy crafting in the afternoon. And you cover not only the arts, but also problem solving, ICT, math and the workplace. I mean, course design has to be successful, right?
This Cricut Joy Smart Vinyl, Removable Hydrangeas 5 set comes in several colors: petal, coral, mint, teal and lavender. Each sheet measures 5.5″ x 12″.
However, today we make stickers just for fun. And you know well, if you can’t make fun games, when can you?
Select images on the left and search for images. The papers I made are for the summer, so I was looking for ice cream, summer, the beach, and also looking for a bike and a car. I wanted to create the feel of a summer beach, so I explored everything I could associate with summer.
Vinyl Stickers, Print Custom Vinyl Stickers
When choosing photos, individual photos are best, as shown below. Also check that the image is fully connected so that it breaks into one piece.
Choose the color of the pictures for your rug. All images must be the same size before being sent for cutting so that they can be properly cut on the vinyl sheet.
If you choose a sticker with multiple layers, you have two options. You can remove it and remove the parts you do not need, see the right corner in the picture below. Or you can boil it, but that will make it a solid piece. To remove the black glass, I removed the panel and discarded the glass.
If you want to crop the shape into a single image for your stickers, such as the chair on the floor below, overlay the image you want to crop. Right click and highlight to select and click the column in the lower right corner.
Custom Vinyl Decals And Stickers
To create your Cricut Joy vinyl decals and make sure you have the right amount, use a rug that is about 4.5″ across and 11″ wide (or longer if you have a long vinyl). This will give you a visual indication of how much space you have.
Click “DO IT” in the top right corner to see how your stickers can be cut. The design space is flexible to save space and avoid wastage, however this does not always work. You must select your items before you can see your cut. Here you will see the final cut shape.
You can see in the image below that I have gaps on my cut view, to avoid damage you can add some new images to cut out, but to create space you need to drag the images around the mat.
Dragging an image is just a click and drag, it’s the best way to avoid bad spots and vinyl damage. You can keep doing this until your mat is full. The lines you hear on the edge of the mat represent the cut limit, it prevents you from crossing the line.

After I cut my stickers, I realized that I could have pulled them too close, thus getting more stickers.
If you’re cutting Cricut Joy vinyl decals to stick them on a window, make sure you press down on the glass to rotate the image if you want it to be visible from the front. If you’re doing window decals, make sure you’re using removable vinyl!

Vinyl Decal Instructions Printable Card With Illustrations
Adhesive tapes work well with electric cutters, but I just want to be clear that you don’t need to have a high quality cutter to make your own vinyl stickers. You can work with printed vinyl with scissors or a utility knife.
However, if you’re cutting out amazing designs, lots of stickers, or just want the best quality, I recommend a cutting machine like the Silhouette or Cricut. I use the Silhouette and will walk you through the basic steps of the machine, but the basics will work whether you cut with Cricut or by hand.
If you cut your stickers by hand, you just need to use any image editing software (or Word will do) to place your design on an 8.5 x 11 page and have it printed on an inkjet printer. Like this!
If you are using Silhouette, you will need to set up your document in Studio before printing. For page settings, start by setting the page size to 8.5 x 11 (or the size of the vinyl you’re using – just remember to use the size of your printer). Then make sure the registration marks are enabled. You must include decals for the machine to cut them out!
