I remember seeing an article on Yahoo or one of those news type websites a few months ago about how to make your own. I thought it might be a good idea to share when an office supply contest is posted. I really wanted to make my own glue, but I couldn’t find anything about making recycled glue. I thought these turned out really well. I have a friend who has a family get-together every Christmas and she always tries to do something for the boys. I think he’ll like the idea. Mailing data can become expensive over time. Everyone needs scrap paper to write on. It will be helpful to keep a glue stick on your desk so that the paper can easily stick when needed.
The most time consuming part of making these was cutting the paper. Others didn’t last very long. Colored paper would have made them prettier in my opinion. It would look great tied with brown paper, a raffia bow or something. DIY cute keychain keepsakes I love crafts. Before I started working from home, I seemed to have more time to do them. Or maybe it was before I had 4 kids, all of whom seemed to need 3 to keep busy with my life, and so many lives. But I still like to find time to squeeze in as much as possible. A few years ago, one of the children came home on Christmas Day collecting money. It was a typical Christmas collector: My family would make faces if I bought them expensive paper. There was one item in the catalog that caught my eye. The main chain had cute little notebooks. Recommended for children’s bags. I liked the idea, but since they wanted $10 for 2 small notebooks, there was no way. My kids would tear those papers up in less than a week, so even though it would help with school, I couldn’t justify that kind of money. I thought about those teary notebooks for years. But I never had everything to do at once. When I finally found everything, I decided it would make a great year’s gift for teacher Serenity in craft containers. First, I collect really cool book paper. I bought mine at Michael’s. You can buy each page individually, but I prefer coordinating pages. You can punch or cut the paper using a paper punch or trace your own template. You can make a pattern or just a square. A circle would be nice too. Once you have all the paper in a nice folder, use a standard hole punch to punch holes through all the holes. If you want to get an oval shaped pad, use rubber cement around the edge. It’s not necessary, but it’s a nice touch. If you decide to cement it, let it dry before moving on to the next step. Feed the key chain ring through the hole punched through the pages. I didn’t have a regular key ring, so I used what I had on hand. These are similar to lanyard holders. I’ve fed the hole through the opening and you can use the end of the clip to attach it wherever you want. Here is the main circuit breaker panel. They make great gifts and kids get to make their own notebooks to put in their bags. Small pieces of paper that can be attached, detached, and placed easily can be more useful when printing. Although there are printers designed to print sticky notes, you can send sticky notes through your existing printer. You’ll need a printable template, so I’ll give you one. Scroll down to see more ideas for printable sticky notes.
The template is in Google Slides. Why Google Slides? It’s one of my favorite design tools, and it’s not limited to slideshows. The template has an 8.5-by-11-inch page configuration to fit standard printer paper. I share the files in a way that forces you to create your own copy. You can edit your copy and use the Google Slides design tools to publish a custom design.
