28 wires about 50 cm for the petals (or for a larger mandala). 4 different colors are used in this tutorial: 7 times 4.

Cut 7 threads of same size (approx 50 cm. Take one and fold it in half as shown in the picture.
Add one of the previously cut strands and tie it to the first strand using a lark’s head knot.
Then connect the rest of the wires in the same way as in the picture. You should now hang twelve strings from the first thread (six lots of two).
Take the two ends of the first rope we used. To whom all the strings are tied. Thread the two loose threads through the loop at the other end. Pull tight until it forms a circle.

Take another colored string, in this case red. Knot on the two ends of the rope sticking out of the circle. A normal F-node, or even a half hitch, will suffice.
Continue with more strings. You can add as much as you want, the more you add, the bigger the flower will be.
Take the right rope and cross it over the other ropes, tie a backward knot in the right ‘base’ rope (burgundy).
Take the left thread and tie it forward to the left ‘original’ thread (burgundy) and to the thread you knotted in the previous step, in this case red.

Continue with the other sequences (Figure 13) and move on to the next ‘base’ string pair (Figure 14) until you have 7 leaves.
Now attach the leaves by knotting the outer threads of each leaf and knotting them to the top of the leaves. (In this case, Burgundy.)
If you use floss or thread the remaining threads can be simply cut and burned or glued to the back.
Another possibility: if you are gluing the string to the back, braid each section (14 braids total) then fold and glue the braid one at a time and then trim the excess ends.

Honestly, is there anything happier than daisies?! I was in desperate need of a dose of happiness over the weekend and made some colorful bracelets to comfort the soul. Making daisy chains from seed beads,
It’s complicated but honestly, it’s not that hard! It’s child’s play as long as you have the right materials. I dare you to stop at one, this
Make sure you pay attention to the size of the beads and the cord before purchasing the addicting supplies. Enjoy!
Using the right thread or cord is important here. My favorite yarn for daisy chain is Griffin’s Spun Silk Yarn. It comes with an attached needle, which makes threading through small seed beads hassle-free, especially if you need to double-up the thread with some seed beads. Unwrap the whole card and tie two knots at the end. You want to leave about 3-4 inches of tail.

Note: You definitely don’t want to use elastic cords here. A tight braid is very difficult to achieve in a daisy.
Thread some seed beads. Then you add the daisy petal colors and create the top half of the flower. I am adding 5 beads here as I am using a slightly larger center gold bead here. If you use a smaller center bead (like 8/0 seed beads), then I would add 4.
Add the center bead. Again, I’m using a 3mm gold bead here but you can make any size bead. Take the needle and thread it through the 1st color bead to the bracelet knot/end.
PS: Do you see how important it is to have a cord or thread that can go through your seed bead twice? Size and material are very important!

Add three more colored beads. Next, take the needle and thread it through the last colored bead before the middle bead. It should go in the opposite direction from the beginning of the bracelet.
Pull the string all the way through to form a daisy. You may want to adjust the beads as you tighten them to lock them in place and ensure they are evenly distributed.
When everything feels tight, add a few more beads before starting the next daisy. Add the next set of colors (5) and the middle bead.
Thread the needle through the first color bead, add three more beads, and then thread the needle through the 5th bead, the last one before the middle bead.

I like to use a sliding macrame closure to close it. It’s more work and I find it easier to loosen and tighten around your wrist than a clasp. If you decide to make a sliding closure, leave about an inch of space. If you are just adding a hook, you can leave about 1/4-1/3″ clearance.
Note: I’m using Chinese knot thread for the closure here because I have some silk thread and wanted a contrasting color to help visually define it better. For the sliding closure, I actually prefer Chinese knot rope. But if you don’t want the trouble of buying it, you can use silk thread – preferably one size larger.
Cut an 8-10 inch piece of cord or yarn. Place the ends of the bracelet parallel and against each other. Place the center of the closing cord under the ends of the bracelet. Fold the right cord across the strips, and then fold the left cord over the right cord, pointing down. Pull the left cord under the right and center straps and then through the right loop.
Now do the same on the opposite side, completing the square knot. Finish the 2nd half of the square knot by folding the left cord over the middle strands and under the right cord. Pull the right cord under the left and middle strands and through the left loop.

To finish, thread one of the ropes onto the needle and sew 2-3 knots in the middle of the back. Pliers help pull the needle out of tight knots.
Pull the second end and then cut both ends as close to the knot as possible. Now you can tighten your bracelet by pulling the ends or loosen the bracelet by pulling it apart. Measure to fit and then thread two seed beads through each end and tie the ends into a knot. the crop
Note that simple bead bracelets are threaded on the elastic thread and then tied in three knots. Happy Beads!!This post may contain links to Amazon or other affiliates.
