Bubble Flower Bouquet
Balloon sticker projects require several special materials and tools. I show you my favorite large clear balloons, interior decorating options, and the balloon pump that works best for the job. Don’t worry. We don’t pop balloons ourselves. We’ll also cover how to use special balloon sticks and cups to keep the balloon stacks in place. There are many ways to decorate your baseboard, but I show you my favorite ways using gift boxes, tissue paper, and ribbon.
One of my best kept secrets is how to prepare and apply vinyl balloon bouquet stickers. Bobo balloons are large and require a large design to look good. Instead of applying the word and shape all at once, we’ll show you how to cut a sticker into several pieces. Applying one element at a time is much easier with a few alignment tips! Also keeps transfer tapes.
Once you’ve learned the secret of inflating balloons into each other and aligning your sticker perfectly to a curved surface, the possibilities are endless! You can create your own designs for gifts, party decorations and promotional materials. This balloon wreath is perfect for baby showers, birthday decorations, business openings or corporate events. Ways To Use Balloons In Your Wedding Décor
To cut permanent vinyl I use a Cricut machine, specifically my Cricut Maker 3, but you can also use a real Maker or Cricut Explore machine. All you need is a StandardGrip machine mat and a pointed blade! We’ll also be using some of my favorite vinyl tools like a braider, a weed remover, tape and scissors. And I show you some tricks using painter’s tape and a lint-free cloth!

Note: This project uses latex balloons which some people are allergic to. Check with the recipient to be safe before giving away items containing latex! If latex is an issue, consider adding a custom vinyl design to your mylar balloons.
How To Create Decorative Balloon Flowers: 9 Steps (with Pictures)
First download my SVG/DXF/PDF Vinyl Balloon Bouquet Decal file from my library of free resources. Design #386. There are several design options in the folder, but I’ll show you how to create a custom birthday sticker, titled “balloon-bouquet-decals-birthday-custom–SVG”. You can follow the same basic steps for any design. Upload your SVG file to Cricut Design Space and add it to your canvas.
Tip: If you’re not sure how to upload a cropped SVG file to Cricut Design Space, watch my helpful video training series. If you’re using an iPad or iPhone, here’s how to download an SVG file and upload it to the Cricut Design Space app.
This design is the size of a 24″ Bobo balloon from the ingredients list and will create a sticker that is about 9″ wide x 7.5″. If you placed the sticker on a different sized balloon, adjust the size accordingly. You can click and drag the size icon or enter new dimensions. in the Width (“W”) box in the top menu under “Size”.

Balloon Flower Rose Bouquet
You can see that this design file has 9 layers. We will attach the vinyl separately to the bent balloon so there are no air bubbles or wrinkles. It’s also easier to remove small pieces of transfer tape from balloons without damaging them!
This design is tagged “Name Happy Birthday” so you can customize it with whatever name you like. We’ll show you how!
With the design still selected, click “Ungroup” at the top of the Layers panel. Now click on the word “Name” to highlight it in the Layers panel. Hide this layer so you can rename it. Click the layer’s eye icon to hide it.
Now you can add any name and font you want! Click the text icon on the left side of the screen. A box with “Text” highlighted will appear on the canvas. Enter the desired name without clicking anything. I will use “Alexa”. Then click the “Cricut Sans” box under Font in the top menu to see the font options.
Faux Blue Rose Balloon Bouquet
Scroll until you find the font you want and click the font name to see what it looks like. If you click on the name, click to change the font or double-click to enter a new name. When you cut out your design, make sure there are no prices next to the fonts you choose so you won’t be charged. We’ll be using the Tingler Print font, which can find links in Notes. Use the font that you like the most.
Then move the text box with the name you just entered into position under the word “Birthday”. If you want the color to match mine, change the color to match the word “Happy”. Just click on the colored box in the top menu and select the blue swatch shown below.
